About the Company

Euroopt is the largest grocery retailer in Belarus, a market with about 9.5 million consumers that has borders with Russia, Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine.

Founded in 1993, Euroopt currently operates 459 stores with total selling space of 277 thousand sq meters across the country.

 

The Company operates five key formats, from convenience stores to hypermarkets. Euroopt’s value proposition, with its limited assortment commercial model and price leadership, is well-tuned to the needs of Belarussian consumers. Euroopt sets trends in the Belarus retail market with its marketing campaigns and strong customer proposition.

 

The Company is also successfully developing its online grocery business, represented by two projects: e-dostavka.by and gipermall.by. In less than 2.5 years since its inception, it has become one of the largest services of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, and one of only a few that are profitable in the world, thanks to its tailored business model and focus on operational efficiency.

One of Euroopt’s key competitive advantages is that it operates its own logistics infrastructure, with three large distribution centres and a fleet of more than 150 vehicles as of 30 June 2017. The Company employed over 33,000 members of staff as of 30 June 2017.
